Whereas, the •Cor,miseicn of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the 17t11 day of July ., ,19_23..
ordered Sanitar Sewer Improvement 75 , District sr_75�
and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commiseion of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
elanand specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commissiou of the City of Miami i would on the
31st day of July 1923._, at the City
Hall, at P.00 o'clock, receive and hear the reraonstrances-
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Corarisaion of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It feeo'ived by the Commissionof the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolttitzion of the Commission of
the City of Miami oederi.Zg saidSenitarySewe$raprovenent No. 75
District Sr.75 be, and the sae i3 hereby confirmed.
Be it Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least twice in the Miami Herald
a newspaper of general circulation in ?Miami, Florida, and in

a newspaper of general circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Cowr:ission of the City of Miami
on the
21 at day of Au.<.ust 19 23 at e.30
o'clock, for the coaetru,.tion of the said work, Said notice
shall state the ireexc•vement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under mere than one resolution shall be in
such form as to permit a se..aration to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each ercecsal must be accomeanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bunk or trust cot.iany of Florida,in the amount
of 2g of the amount of the bid, 4 ayable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of a contract and bond to oarry out the
work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be eopened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected.
After an award has been :Wade, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the entering into of such contract, the
certified check reaiired to accor..pany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidate,i damages for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
ill be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
Laving been filed with the Clerk.
