by publication as required by the City Charter has been wade

Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least twice in the Miami Herald
a newspaper of general eieculaticn in Miami, Florida, and in
Jackecnv.l? e Ti~es Union
a newspaper of general circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Corilr..ission of the City of Miami
on the
day of August 19 23 , at 9.30 A.m.
o'clock, for the construction or the said work, Said notice
shall state the imerovemqnt is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under rac,re than one resolution shall be in
sa ch form as to perelit a seearation to be wade of the cost under
each resolution. Each excecsal must be accoeeanied by a cer-
tified check upon, a bank or trust coeeany of Florida,in the amount
of 22% of the ar:.ount of the bid, eayable to the City of Miami,
to insure the a::ecution of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in aocordance with the plans end specifioaticns. All bids
will be opened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the etering into of such contract, the
certified check recu ired to accor..pany suoh bid shall be for-
feited to the City of 1LLiari, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated damages for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by t1;e City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
having been filed with the Clerk.
