7'hereas, the Commission of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the 17th day of .Tvly

and the City Iaanager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
alann and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said imi%rovement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been wade
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
lzth day of July 1923_,_, at the City
Hall, at 9.00 A.U. o'clock, re oeive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said iwdrovcwent, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, re It Resolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resollaaion of the Commission of
the City of Miami orders ag said Se ::1t arvewelmprovement No. ?3
District Sr.73 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least twice in the Miami Herald
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in
Jacksonville Tf::.es Jnicr.
a newspader of c.eneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Comtission of the City of Miami
on the
clst day of Au.*u:;t 19 , at c .�
o'clock, for the coastruction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 56, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
each form as to permit a seearation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each ,Jrc1:,c3a1 must be aocolL.danied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or t.cust col. a.ny of Florida, in the amount
of 2z�0 of the amount of the bid, l.ayable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of a oontraot and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans Eind specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected.
After an award has been mace, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the entering into of such oontraot, the
certified check recuired to accor.pany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of luiarai, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated dar:.ages for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be peru:it ted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
having been filed with the Clerk.
