Whereas, the Cor r..isaicn of the City of Miami, by tese- lution passed and adopted the _ 17th day of . Juyy ordered Sanitary Sewer Improvement 72 , District nr,72 . and the City manager, under the direction of the Commission of the City of Miami, has ,prepared and filed with the City Clerk plans and specifications of such improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof, inoluding an estimate of the cost of the incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice by publication as required by the City Charter has been made that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the 17,th day of July 192 , at the City Hall, at 9.0C A.M. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution ordering said i.wproven,ent, and all remonstrances received having been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami. Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Cou;wissior. of the City of Miami, Florida, that the said resolttuior, of the Commission of the City of Miami orderi.l saidSanitary SewEmprovenent No. 72 District Sr.72 be, and the same is hereby confirmed. Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be published at least twice in the Miami Herald a newspaper of ger.3ral circulation in Miami, Florida, and in Jacksonville Ties Jnicn a newspaper of 7eneral circulation throughout the State, pub- lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami on the 21st day of kuzust 19�3 ,, at 9. 0.A.L. o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice shall state the improveLlent is to be constructed, and paid for in cash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover- ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in Bich fora, as to permit a seraration to be made of the cost under each resolution. Each proposal roust be accompanied by a cer- tified check upon a bank or t.cuut company of Florida,in the amount of 21% of the amount of the bid, sayable to the City of Miami, to insure the e:cecut.:on of a contract and bond to oarry out the work in accordance with the plans qnd specifications. All bids will be opened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected. After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re- turned. In default of the entering into of such contract, the certified check required to accompany such bid shall be for- feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as liquidated caxraRes for the delay or additional cost which may be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid will be perr1:it ted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after having been filed with the Clerk.
