Whereas, the Commission of the City of Miami, by rde0�►

and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
elann and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
inoid.ental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
31st day of July 192, at the City
Hall, at 9.00 A.1. o' clook, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordiring said 3.tirrovewent, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Corati:iseion of the City of Miami.

Therefore, De It Resolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resoltt ion of the Commission of
the City of Miami orderi.ig said Oanit r vSewimprovement go. 70
District Sr.7C be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be it Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least twice in the Miami Herald
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in
Jacksonville Ti ee Union
a newspaeur of general circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the
21st day of Aueus t 19 23 , at 9_30 A. 1;.
o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the imercvem nt is to be constructed, and paid for
in oash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under nacre than one resolution shall be in
sash form as to permit a seraration to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each ercecsal must be accoeieanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or trust coaleany of Florida,in the amount
of 2-go of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure the e::ecution of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected.
After an award has been :nave, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the atering into of such contraot, the
certified check recu ired to accompany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Uiarai, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated daraaees for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. go bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
Lavin_' been filed with the Clerk.
