Whereas, the Cor r4.issic,n of the City of Miami, by teaos.

and the City 1«anager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plane and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, inoludinc an estimate of the cost of the
inoidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
3let day of July 192,1_, at the City
Hall, at 9.00 A.M. o'clock, reoeive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said i.raNroveti ent, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Lie It Re solved by the Corarai esion of the city
of Miami, Florida, t1.at the said resoluuion of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering said SanitarySeweimprovenent No. 67
District Sr.67 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be it Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least twice in the (iaml Herald
a newspaper of general circulation in !Iiami, Florida, and in
Jacksonville Times Unicn
a newsaaaex of r-eneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonville , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the
21st day of Aua_ust 19 23 , at 9.3o A.M.
o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
each form as to permit a seraration to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each arcresal must be acco,.i)anied by a cer-
tified check uaon a bank or t:cust cowany of Florida, in the amount
of 2e cf the amount of the bid, sayable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected.
After an award has been :make, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the snaring into of such contract, the
certified check required to accor..?any such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Lliami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated damages for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be pe::a:it tad to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
Lavin, been filed with the Clerk.
