Sanitary Serer Improvement No. Whereas, the Commission of the City of Miami, by reso- lution passed and adopted the 17th day of .1rv1y - -41946., ordered sanitary Sewer Improvement 66 , District gr4(6 and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk p1anf and specifications of such improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice by publication as required by the City Charter has been Made that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the 31st day of July 192_4_, at the City Hall, at 9.00 A.M. o'clock, receive and hear the reraonetranoes of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami. Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commission of the City of Miami, Florida, that tLe said resolunion of the Commission of the City of Miami ordering saidSanitarySewekmprovement No. ,AA District Sr.66 be, and the sane is hereby confirmed. Be it Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be published at least twi.pe in the Miami xerald a newspaper of gen3ro,l circulation in Miami, Florida, and in Jacrgr-lvt1'• e T1:neQ Union a newspaper of general circulation throughout the State, pub- lished at Jacksenvil:e , Florida, a notice calling for sealed bids to be received by the Coit.issicn of the City of Miami on the 21 st day of Aucp st 19 23 , at R. 30 gam. o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for in cash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover- ing work to be done under mere than one resolution shall be in sich form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under each resolution. Each prcresal must be acco14.)anied by a cer- tified check UAL a bank or trust - coLipany of Florida, in the amount of 2 % of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami, to insure the e:cecuton of a oontraot and bond to carry out the work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bids will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected. After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re- turned. In default of the erzering into of such contraot, the certified check regaired to accompany such bid shall be for- feited to the City of Liiarii, Florida, not as a penalty, but as liquidated dara'es fcr the delay or additional cost which may be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after having been filed with the Clerk.
