District Sr. . 65 RESOLUTION NO. 895. :;arltary SpsaPr Improvement No. 93 nereae, the Comr,.iasionr of the City of-Miami;-by-r. , .: lution passed and adopted the 17th day of .ruly 1923 ordered 5mlitary SewerIr.iprover„ent 55 , District Sr.65, and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk plans and specification° of such improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice by publication as required by the City Charter has been made that the Cowmissiou of the City of Miami would on the 31st day of July 1923 , at the City Hall, at 9.00 A.M. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution ordering said S.ruNrovera nt, and all remonstrances received having been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami. Therefore, De It Resolved by the Commissionof the City of Miami, Florida, that the said resoltvion of the Commission of the City of Miami orderi.ar said SanitarySewimprovement No. 5 District Sr.65 be, and the same is hereby confirmed. Be it Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be published at least twice in the Mia:r:i Herald a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in Jacksonville Ti ::es JU_on a newspaper of r-eneral circulation throughout the State, pub- lished at Jackecnville , Florida, a notice calling for sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami on the �1 st day of August 19 23 , at 9. 30. A,. L . o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice shall state the improver ent is to be constructed, and paid for in cash, under Section 5o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover- ing work to be done under mere than one resolution shall be in each form as to permit a seraration to be tirade of the cost under each resolution. Each drcdosal must be accolupanied by a cer- tified check upon a bank or t:cust company of Florida,in the amount of 22�� of the amount of the bid, eayu.ble to the City of Miami, to insure the a:cecution of a oontraot and bond to oarry out the work in accordance with the plans rind specifications. All bide will be opened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected. After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re- turned. In default of the atering into of such contract, the certified check required to accor..pany such bid shall be for- feited to the City of Liiarai, Florida, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages for the delay or additional cost which may be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after having been filed with the Clerk.
