Vhereas, the Comr1.iseion of the City of Miami, by reeo-r
lution passed and adopted . the any >vf �--

and the City Nanacer, under the direction of the Cornriisoion of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commi s si ou of the City of Miami would on the
31st day of July 1923_, at the City
Hall, at 9.00 A.M. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.

Therefore, De It Resolved by the Commissionof the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resoltruion of the Cotamission of
the City of Miami ordering said SanitarySewdmarovement No. 64
District Sr .64 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be it Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least twice in the
Miami Herald
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in
Jackscnville Times Union
a newspaper

on the

to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami

o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under rcre than one resolution shall be in
such form as to permit a seearation to be wade of the cost under
each resolution. Each prceosal must be accompanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida, in the amount
of 2 jt of the amount of the bid, j.ayable to the City of Miami,
to insure the e::ecut.on of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in aocordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the erterin; into of such contract, the
certified check required to accompany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated dameares for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
Lavin been filed with the Clerk.
