Rant+nry_Samar Whereas, the Cowwisaien of the Ci lution passed And adopted ordered Sanitary'Rewet-Mrovemen _3 Improvement No. ty of Miami, by ratio. p'-ii70171CI7'Llt".g..?2"214r and the City Lanacer, under the direction of the Commission of the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk planc and specifications of such improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the incidental expenses of said imerovement, and whereas due notice by publication as required by the City Charter has been made that the COWMiS81011 of the City of Miami would on the 31st day of July 1924_, at the City Hall, at 9.00 o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances of all intereste0 pereons to the confirmation of said resolution ordering said impro vem,mt, and all remonetrances received having been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami. • Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Coamiesion of the City of Miami, Florida, that the said resoltvion of the Commission of the City of Miami ordering saidSanitarySewekmprovement No. 63 District Sr.63 be, and the same ia hereby oonfirmed. Be /t Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be published at least twicl in the Miami Heald a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in Jacksonville Tires Union a newspaper of r:eneral circulation throughout the State, pub- lished at Jacksonvil]e , Florida, a notice calling for sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami on the 21At day o Auust 1923 , at 9...3c A y o'clock, for the coastruction of the said work, Said notice shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for in cash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover- ing work to be done under mere than one resolution shall be in such form as to permit a separation to be wade of the cost under each resolution. Each proposal must be accowpanied by a cer- tified check upon a bank or trust cowpany of Florida,in the amount of 2g of the anount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami, to insure the e;:ecution of a contract and bond to oarry out -the work in aocordance with the plans eind specifications. All bids will be opened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected. After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re- turned. In default of the etering into of such contraot, the certified check reglired to accoe.pany such bid shall be for- feitad to the City of Liami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damatTes for the delay or additional cost which may be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after having been filed with the Clerk.
