Whereas, the Cor il.issicn of the City of Miami, by reed.-

and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
Plana and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
Of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
inoidental expenses of said imk,rovement, and whereas due notice
by publication as recp,t fired by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
3lst day of July 192•, at the City
Hall, at 9.00 F. M. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, De Iz Resolved by the Commissionof the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resoluuion of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering saidSanitcry$ewefMprovement No. 62
District. Sr. 62be, and the same is hereby,confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least twice in the Miami Herald
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in
Jacksc: vill= Tires Union
a newspaper of c'eneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jacksonviae Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the
21st day of Au~ust 1923 , at 9.30 4.Y.
o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the im?rovemnt is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 3o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
each fora as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal must be accoua)anied by a cer-
tified check udon a bank or t.cust company of Florida, in the amount
of 22p of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure ;;he eecution of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the atering into of such contraot, the
certified check required to accompany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated dama!es for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
Laving been filed with the Clerk.
