A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OERTAIN CLOSING
ENTRIES TO BE MADE IN THE GENERAL BOOS
OF THE 0 ITY OF MIAMI, AS OF JUNK sommus,
IN 00NSEQUENOE OF THE CHANGE IN 1ga FISCAL
YEAR OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Florida at
its 1923 session, did authorize an amendment to the Charter of
the City of Miami which said Charter was adopted by the Bleotore
of said City at an eleotion held May 17, 1921, said amendment
providing that the fisoal year of the City shall begin with the
first day of July of each year and shall end with the thirtieth
day of June of the following year, and being subjeot to the ap-
proval of said electors at an eleotion to be held, and
WHEREAS, the said Eleotors did vote their approval of
said amendment at an election held in said City on the 17th day
of July, 1923, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to close the General Books of
said City as of date June 30th, 1923, in order to comply with
the provisions of said amendment, now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission of the City of Miami
that the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to make
the necessary entries in order to close said General Hooks as of
June 30th, 1923.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of July, A. D. 1923.
