WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it tc the public
interests of the City that Southwest Second Avenue in said
City be widened from its present width: of 50 feet to a width
of 85 feet, and
WHEREAS, a number of property owners have agreed to
convey part of their property cn the east and west side cf
said street for the purpose of widening said street and certain
other property has to be condemned for eal

1V EREAS, George McUhan, Sr., the cTr.er cf the ec'.:th
20 feet of Lot 1 in Block 138 North, has offered tc convey to
the City the East 5 feet of the said So..:th 2- feet if the
City will agree to pay for cuttine, through the first floor
only of the building on the above described lot back tc a
distance of 5 feet to conform with th.c new lime of sa.0

second floor of said building to remain irtact and not to
