Imerovement No. 44
Thereas, the CemLdseicn, ,the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adold ti)e " day of May 19 23
ordered Sidewalk Imerovement 44 District Sk. 44
and the City Nanager, under the direction of the Cemmiesion of
the City of Miami, has ared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and si;ecifftcatioils of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, inoludinL; an estiYaate of the cost of the
incidental expenses cf said iv,roveent, and whereas due nctice
by publication as required by the City Charter hels been made
that the Coelmission of the City qf Uiami would on the
22nt day of May 1)2 3 , at the City
Hall, at W:P0 o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested eexsons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordtring said im;4ovE10:11t, and all i.emonstranoes received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miavii.
Therefore, Be It Reeolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the 3aid resollIvon of the Commission of

the City of Miarni ordering said Sidewalk Improvement No44
District Sk. 44 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least in the

a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and, in

a newspaper of general circulation throuehout the State, pub-
lished at
sealed bids to be received by the Corc.isaicn of the City of Miami
on the

shall state the im)rcvement is oe constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 3o, cf ..he City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
;Belch form as to permit a seraration to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each preposal rust be accompanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or t.cust comeany of Florida,in the amount
cf 2-L% of the ar:.ount of the bid, „ell/able to the City of Miami,
to insure the e;:ecution of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in accerdance with the plans eend specificatiens. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected.
After an award htis been mae, the chocks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the ccntract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the etering into of such contiact, the
certified check reciAircd to accor..?any such bid shall be fcr-
feited to the City of Liiai.ii, Florida, not as a i:enalty, but as
liquidated dmaes fo,.• the delay CT additional cost which may
be incurred by tne Ct.c,y, by reason of such default. No bi.d
will be pett73,1 to be witl-,drawn for any reason whatever after
Lavin, been filed with the Clerk.
