Whereas, the Cur,;r..ission of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and ado:iOd the 15th day of Mgy 19,_111.

and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission off'
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and specificatio;lo of such .improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, inalu'iinan estimate of the cost of the
incidental expensec of said i r;.erover ent, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Cona issioh of the City of Miami would on the

Hall, at 9:00 o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the conf: rr ation of said resolution
ordtering said Jruer::.q`:o.'t'_t, and alp. :ict.i•Jnetranoes received having
been heard and considered by the Coiar.:icsion of the City of Miami.
Therefore, De It hie .owed by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resoltulon of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering said stair/B.1k Improvement No.40
District Sk. 40 be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 4 in the ."4-10sssZ odot‘-‘
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in
a newspaper of 'eneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jeckaonville , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the
day of 'LA'' 1923 , at 9:30
o'clock, for the co..irtruction of said work, Said notice
shall state the imprcver:.e,n.t is t oe constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Ceetien 5o, cf the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under mere than one resolution shall be in
such form as to permit a separation to be wade of the cost under

After an award has been :naa.e, the checks of all bidders, other

turned. In default of the e:xe. inse. into of such contiact, the
certified checi: reciired to accci_.)a:iy such bid shall be for-
feited to tl:e City of i.:ia;:.i, F1oiida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated dema•:es for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by t ne cy reason of such default. Lo bid
