Whereas, the Commission of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the 17t1. day of !1;a` 1 19 23

and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and specifications of.such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City pf Miami would on the

Hall, at 9:00 a.m. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolttiion of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering said '= :: = Improvement No. ;C1
District T be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 144C4 in the
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in
a newspaper of Teneral circulation throughout the State, pub-

shall state the improvement is to be co ructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 56, of the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
such form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the amount
of 23jj of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans qnd specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the entering into of such contract, the
certified check req..i fired to accor.:pany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated daz ages for the delay or additional cost which xray
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any rea n whatever after
having been filed with the Clerk. f
