Whereas, the Commission of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the day of 4r0;,
ordered Sidewalk Improvement District , ok-37
and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
3rd day of April 192.1 _, at the City
Hall, at a.� o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persona to the confirmation of said resolution
ordeering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said reeolttdon of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering said Sidewalk Improvement No. 37
District C:,:--3( be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 3 times in the MIAMI 17ALD
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in

a newspaper of reneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at ja_e'rsQn•rille , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the
P4th day of April 19 23 , at 9:00 e.m.
o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 56, of the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
dl ch foam as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cer-
tified check upon a bank or trust coupany of Florida,in the amount
of 2 0 of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of a oontract and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whom the contract has baen awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the eitering into of such contract, the
certified check regiired to accompany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated dau:aJ-es for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default, No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
having. been filed with the Clerk.
