HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-00700District Improv Whereas, the Commission of the City of Miami, by reso- lution passed and adopted the day of arch 19„ ordered MOUT Improvement District 3-202 and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of the City of Miami, has "prepared and filed with the City Clerk plans and specifications of such improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof, inoluding an estimate of the cost of the incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice by publication as required by the City Charter has been made that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the Z=d day of .April 4192 , at the City Hall, at 9 a.m. o'clock, reoeive and hear the remonstrances of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami. Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commission of the City of Mimi, Florida, that the said resolution of the Commission of the City of Miami ordering said Highway Improvement No. 202 District H-202 be, and the same is hereby oonfirmed. Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be published at least 3 tunas in the LIIAMiI ti!' CAI a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in 3w:7I,.:ii III.T:S-ll1+1�):i a newspaper of Teneral circulation throughout the State, pub- lished at Florida, a notice calling for sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami on the 1st day of _ .lay 19?3_, at 9:00 s, m. o'clock, for the construction of the said* work, Said notice shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for in cash, under Section 56, of the City Charter. Any bid cover- ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in Bach form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under eaoh resolution. Each, proposal must be aocor.:ranied by a oer- tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the amount of 2e/0 of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami, to insure the execution of a oontraot and bond to carry out the work in accordance with the plans and speoifications. All bids will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected. After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other than the one to whom the contract has been awarded, shall be re- turned. In default of the exering into of such oontraot, the oertified check regiired to accompany such bid shall be for- feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages for the delay or additional cost which may be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after having been filed with the Clerk.
