lution passed and adopted the 27th day of March 1923

and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
3rd day of April 1923 , at the City
Hall, at 9 a.m. o'clock, reoeive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and oonsidered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resoltttiion of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering said Highway Improvement No. 20. 1
District H-201 be, and the same is hereby oonfirned.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 3 times in the MSIAMI !MAID
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in

a newspaper of Teneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at
sealed bids
on the
, Florida, a notice calling for
to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
1st day of Lia y 19 23 ,, at o .0n q. m.
o'clock, for the construction of the 6a.0 work, Said notice
shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 56, of the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
s.ich for as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
eaoh resolution. Each proposal must be accompanied by a oer--
tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the amount
of 22% of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of a contract and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract wade or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to who the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the etering into o'' such contract, the
certified check reap ired to accor.:pany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated dar::a�es for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
having been filed with the Clerk.
