Whereas, the Commission of the City of Miami, by reso-
lution passed and adopted the nth 4ply of Naro 19,,,,,'' 3„
ordered Lighway Improvement District
and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of Miami, has Prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plane and specifications of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, inclulin6-e.n_ea,tiivaiw, -
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required by the City Charter has been made
that the Commission of the City of Miami would on the
3rd day of APrii 1921_, at the City
Hall, at y a.• o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested eersons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It Fecolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said resolution of the Commiaaion of
the City of Miami ordering said :i,y:.cra: Improvement No. 158 ,
District H-1 a be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be
published at least 3 times in the MAL:I :'::',ALD
a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in
a newspaper of .Teneral circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at Jan_ l; ,-,,, , 1P , Florida, a notice calling icr
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the
1st day of TLiay 19.23 , at 9.00 n.m.
o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 56, of the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under more than one resolution shall be in
each form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal must be accompanied by a oer-
tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the amount
of 22�0 of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution of a oontract and bond to carry out the
work in accordance with the plans qnd specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract lade or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whops the contract has been awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the etering into of such contract, the
certified check regi iced to accompany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated d•acres for the delay or additional cost which may
be' incurred by the City, by reason of such default. No bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
having been filed with the Clerk.
