and the City Manager, under the direction of the Commission of
the City of ,Miami, has prepared and filed with the City Clerk
plans and speoificatione of such improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
incidental expenses of said improvement, and whereas due notice
by publication as required r ti" --

Hall, at w.:::. o'clock, receive and hear the remonstrances
of all interested persons to the confirmation of said resolution
ordering said improvement, and all remonstrances received having
been heard and considered by the Commission of the City of Miami.
Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Commission of the City
of Miami, Florida, that the said reeolbtlion of the Commission of
the City of Miami ordering said Ilighway Improvement No. 194
District =--1 • be, and the same is hereby confirmed.
Be It Further Resolved, that the City Clerk cause to be

a newspaper of general circulation in Miami, Florida, and in

a newspaper of general circulation throughout the State, pub-
lished at 1;, „ ..; :F , Florida, a notice calling for
sealed bids to be received by the Commission of the City of Miami
on the ?
t, day of .:.ay 19 23 , at ¶2:00 a.m.
o'clock, for the construction of the said work, Said notice
shall state the improvement is to be constructed, and paid for
in cash, under Section 56, of the City Charter. Any bid cover-
ing work to be done under were than one resolution shall be in
each form as to permit a separation to be made of the cost under
each resolution. Each proposal must be accompanied by a oer--
tified check upon a bank or trust company of Florida,in the amcunt
of 22�% cf the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Miami,
to insure the execution `of a oontraot and bond to parry out the
work in accordance with the plans qnd specifications. All bids
will be opened and award of contract made or all bids rejected.
After an award has been made, the checks of all bidders, other
than the one to whorl: the contract has baen awarded, shall be re-
turned. In default of the entering into of such contract, the
certified check rec}i ired to accompany such bid shall be for-
feited to the City of Miami, Florida, not as a penalty, but as
liquidated dama7es for the delay or additional cost which may
be incurred by the City, by reason cf such default. IIo bid
will be permitted to be withdrawn for any reason whatever after
havincr been filed with the Clerk.
