A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE OR ORDINANCES FOR
THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED
VOTERS THE QUESTION OF ISSUING BONDS FOR
THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to the best
interests of the City of Miami and of its inhabitants that
said City issue bonds for hospital purposes amounting to the
sum of $100,000; that it issue bonds for the construction of
street railways to the amount of $400,000; that it issue
bonds for doing the preliminary work, driving test wells,
securing land and rights -of -way, oonstruoting treating plants,
and filters, and receiving basins, including pumping stations
for the purpose of securing for the inhabitants of the City of
Miami, wholesome, palatable water, to the amount of $750,000,
and that it issue bonds for the purpose of acquiring parks in
Highland Park, and on the South side of the City, and for the
purpose of filling in the Bay Front Park and acquisition of the
Elser Pier property for park purposes, to the amount of
$1,000,000; that it issue bonds for the purpose of erecting
comfort stations to the account of $ 15, 000, and for additional
incinerator to the amount of $35, 000, and that it issue bonds
for the city's cost of necessary sanitary sewers to the amount
of $100,000; and that it issue bonds for channel work to the
amount of $100,000; and issue bonds for the City's share of the
cost of storm sewers to the amount of $75,000.
NOW, THEREFORT , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIA'dI that the City Attorney be and he is hereby requested
and directed to prepare an ordinance providing for an election
at which shall be submitted to the qualified voters of the
City of Mia.r.i the question of the issuance of said bonds, each
of said issues to be voted upon separately so as to give to the
voters the right to vote for or against any of the proposed issues,
and the said ordinance to set forth the maturities and rate of
