WHMAS, under the additional powers granted to the 1ity of
Miami by an Act of the Iemielature passed at its regular nee=
eion in 1923 and filed in the office of the Secretary of State,
May 12th,192i and ratified by a dote of the qualified electore
of the City of Miami, held July 17th, 1925, at an election duly
called and held in pursuance of section 11 of said Act of 1923,
the city of Miami was given the power,Amonp: other things?, to
. authorize the City Manager, or the Chief of rolice, to make and
promulpate regulations for traffic on the etreete, or perte of
the etreete, of the City of t,►iami, during euch hours as may be
necessary or convenient, and to provide for parking spaces on
the etreete, and to st an time diecontinue the right to the use
of each parking epncee, and to regulate, vacate, or diecontinue
the use of the same.

Section 1, That the City Manager of the City of Viami.,'lorida,
be, and he ie hereby authorized to make and promulgate regulations
for traffic on the streets, or parte of the streets, of the City
of Miami, during such houre ae may be necessary or convenient,
and to provide for parking epaoee on the etreete, and to at any
time discontinue the right to the use of euch parking epaoee,
and to regulate, vacate or diecontinue the uee of the eame.
Section 2. Such regulatione ehall, when adopted, be in full
force and effect after the eame ehall be promulgated by the pub-
lication of euch regulations for one time in a daily newspaper
of general circulation in the City of R'iami, 71orida.
Section 3. The City Manager ie hereby authorized and directed
to cnuse copies of euoh regulatione to he printed in convenient
form for dietribution to the enployeee of the police and "ire
departments and to the employees of the City of Miami, and fpr
dietribution to the general public.
Section 4. Should any part of thie ordinance be declared invnl_id
in any ,judial prooeedinge euch partial invalidity shall not ef-
fect the remninder of thie ordinance.
Seotion 5. Any pereon or pereone violating any of the provieione
under thie ordinance or rulee or regulatione made and authorized
under thie ordinance ehall be puniehed by a fine not exceeding
#200.00 or by imprieonment for a period not exceeding 60 d+aye
or by both euoh fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the
court.
