Section it That the compensation of the Director
of public Utilities be and it is hereby fixed at the sure
of nine thousand dollars ($9, 000.00) per annum, payable
month ly.
Section 2: That the said salary shall become and
be effective as of July 1, 1923.
Section 3: This ordinance is declared to be an emergency
measure on the ground of urgent public need for the preser-
vation of peace, health, safety and public need.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on its first reading and read
by title only this 19th day of June, 1923.
