AN ORDINANCE CALL/NO A REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION
FOR THE ELECTION OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Charter provides for the election
of commissioners on the efirst Tuesday it June, A. D. 1933.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE bn:tulSSIbt o
THE CITY OF MIAMI:
Section 1: That a regular municipal election for the
election of commissioners for the City of Miami is hereby
called and direoted to be held in the City of Miami, Florida,
upon the property of the City south of and adjacent to the
City Hall, from eight o'clock a.m. to sundown on June bth,
1923, being the first Tuesday in June, 1923, for the purpose
of electing commissioners of the City of Miami to serve for
a term of two years from twelve o'clock noon of the day after
the canvass of the vote and declaration of the result of the
election, and until their successors in office are elected.
Section 2: That the City Clerk will open the registra-
tion books for said election from ten o'clock a.m. until noon
on April 1Sth, 1923, and : each day thereafter (Sundays excepted)
until gay 31st, 1923, in his office in the City Hall, on which
last day said books shall remain open all day, for the purpose
of registering those persons who are qualified to register for
such election.

H. B. Hill, 0. C. Pemberton, 8. C. Murden, S. M. Clawson, M.E. Sharp,
John S. Carlew, N. B. Cozatt G. D. Broseier, J. 0. St.John,
Frank Baker, Hugh Brown, J. A. O'8erry, W. J. Gautier, H. G. Fink,

Seotion 4: That the Oity Clerk is hereby direoted
to publish in the Miami Daily Herald and the Miami Daily
Metropolis, newspapers published in the Oity of Miami, Florida,
on May 5th, 1923, and also once in eaoh of the four suooeeding
weeks, a notice of said election and registration in substantial-
ly the following form:

June 5th, 1923.
A regular municipal election for the eleotion of
Commissioners for the City of Miami will be held on June
5th, 1923, from eight o'clock a.m. to sundown in the Oity
of Mimi, Florida, upon the property of the City south of
and adjacent to the City Hall, at which eleotion the qualified
electors voting will vote for the eleotion of Commissioners of
the City of Miami.
The registration books will remain open at the City hall
from ten o'0100 a.m. until noon from April 16th, 1923, to
May 31st, 1933 (Sundays excepted) except that on May 3let, 1923,
said registration books shall remain open all day for the
purpose of registering those persons who are qualified to
register for such eleotion.

Section 6: The City Commission deolaree this ordinance
to be an emergency measure on the ground of urgent public
need for the preservation of peace, health, safety and property.
