AMENI2 liT OF SECTION 3(i) OF CITY CARTER COMMUNICATION FROM CITY ATTORNEY
Communication from the City Attorney, under date of Maroh 26th, 1923, to the City Commis-
sion, in reference to the amendment of Section 3(j) of the City Charter, was received and
on motion of Mr.Lummus, seconded by Mr. Romfh, was filed and ordered spread upon the
minutes:
The City Commission,
Miami, Florida.
Gentlemen:
Miami, F1 o r ida ,
Maroh 26th, 1923.
Section 3(j), page 3 of the City Charter provides in.the last paragraph
that the City may sell or supply the persons, firms or industries residing
or located outside the pity limits, any surplus of water it may have over and
above the amount required to supply its own inhabitants.
In view of the fact that it is contemplated that the City will supply
Miami Beach with water, I suggest an amendment to this section by the legis
lature by adding the words "munioipal corporations" after the words "Persons,
Firms or Industries" so that no question might arise in the future as to the
power of the City to supply its surplus water to munioipalitiea as_well, as to
persona, firms or industries.
Respeotfully yours,
A. J. ROSE
City Attorney
