Upon motion of J. I. Wilson, seconded by J. E. Lummus, it was resolved that the City Manager be instructed to rejeot all bids and advertise again so that new bids may be reoeived on July 18, 1922. It was further resolved that the °becks of the respective bidders be returned to them and that the unsigned bid and bond, whioh was not oon- sidered by the commissioners, be also returned. 0n roll pall the vote was as follows: C. D. Leffler, yes; J. E. Lummus, yes; J. I. Wilson,yes. Motion parried and the said resolution passed and adopted. ACCEPTING DEDICATION OF STREETS NEW SUBDIVISIONS "La Allapattah" An Ordinance accepting the dedication of the streets in the subdivision' known as 0/La &llapattah" was introduced by J. E. Lummus, and on his motion, seoonded. by J. I. Wilson, it was resolved that the charter requirement for readinge of ordinanoes on two separate occasions be and the same is hereby dispensed with by the following vote: C. D. Leffler, yes; J. E. Lummus, yea; J. I. Wilson, yes. 0n motion of J. E. Lum- mus, seconded by J. I. Wilson, the said ordinance was given its first reading and read by title only. Moved by J. .. Lum,:,ue and seconded by J. I. Wilson that the said ordinance be passed on its first reading. On roll call the vote was as follows: C. D. Leffler, yes; J. E. Lummus, yes; J. I. Wilson, yes. Motion carried and the said ord!nanoe passed on its first reading. On motion of J. E. Lunn -,us, seoonded by J. I. Wilson th.e said ordinance was given its second and final reading and read in full. Said communications are as follows : In re: S. P. Hawkins vs. City of Miami. Gentlemen: This was a suit instituted by Messrs. I obineau do Yonge for the plaintiff in whioh there Was a claim of 4f 0, 000 damages. The City Attorney stated that it was neaeseary t make claim on behalf of the City and to furnish olaim bond of double the amount Of claimant's bond and furnish stipulation of costs in the sum of $250.00., therefore or. motion of J.
