a resolution adopted by the Riveruide M. E. Unroll, also protesting egainet the pro-
posed baseball park. After oonsiderable discussion, on motion of J. E. IJUMmuS,
oonded by J. H. Gilman, the resolution was reoeived and filed, and action deterred un
til a later date.

An ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 82, passed and adopted February 28, 1922, rase in-
troduced by J. E. Lummus, and on his motion, eeoonded by J. H. Gilman, it was resole
ed that the charter requirement for readings of ordinances on two separate occasions
be and is hereby dispensed with by the following vote; J. I. Wilson, yea; J. E. Lum-
mus, yes; J. H. Gilman, yes. On motion of J. E. Lummus, eeoonded by J. H. Gilman,
the said ordinanoe was given its first reading and read by title only. Moved by J.
E. Lummue and seconded by J. H. Gilman that the said ordinance be passed on its first
reading. On roll oall the vote was as follows: J. I. Wilson, yes; J. E. Ltmmue,
yes; J. H. Gilman, yes. Motion oarried and said ordinance passed on its first read-
ing. On motion of J. E. Lummus, seconded by J. H. Gilman, the said ord inane was
given i to seoond and final reading and read in full. Moved by J. E. Lummus, and se-
conded by J. H. Gilman that the said ordinance be passed and adopted on its second
and final reading. 0n roll call the vote was as follows: J. I. Wilson, yes; J. E.
Lummus, yes; J. H. Gilman, yes. Motion oarried and the said ordinance passed and
adopted on its second and final reading in full. In acoordanoe with resolution No.
155, passed and adopted February 28, 1922, the said ordinance is numbered 114 and ie
shown in Ordinance Book 1 at page 112.
AUTHORIZING NBW CONTRACT WITH BRICRELLS FOR CLOSING OF STREET
An ordinanoe authorizing and directing the execution and consummation of a oontract
between the City of Miami, Florida, and the executors of th'e estate of Mary Briokell,
deoeased, providing for the closing of a certain street upon the terms and conditions
in said contract set forth, was introduced by J. E. Gilman, and on his motion, se-
conded by J. E. Lummus, it was resolved that the charter requirement for readings of
ordinances on two separate occasions be and is hereby dispensed with by the follow-
ing vote: J. I. Wilson, yes; J. H. Gilman, J. E. Lummus, yea. On motion of J. H.
Gilman, seconded by J. E. Lummus, the said ordinance was given its first reading and
read by title only. Moved by J. H. Gilman and seconded by J. E. litmus, that the
said ordinance be passed on its first reading as read. 0n roll oall the vote was as
follows: J. I. Wilson, yes; J. H. Gilman, yes; J. E. Lummus, yes. Motion carried
and the said ordinance passed on its first reading. On motion of J. E. Gilman, Se-
conded by J. E. Lummus, the said ordinance was given its second and final reading and
read in full. Moved by J. H. Gilman and seconded by J. E. turns that the said ordi-
nance be passed and adopted on its second and final reading in full. On roll sail

Motion carried and the said ordinance passed and adopted on its second and final read
ing. In accordance with Resolution Bo. 166, passed and adopted February 28th, 1922,
the said ordinance is numbered 115 and is shown in Ordinance Book 1 at page 100.
REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 83.
CLOSING A CERTAIN STREET
An ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 83 was introduced by J. H. Gilman, and on his
motion, eeoonded by J E. Lummus, it was resolved that the charter requirement for
readings of ordinances on two separate occasions be and is hereby dispensed with by
the following vote: J. I. Wilson, yes; J. E. Lummus, yes; J. H. Gilman, yea. On
motion of J. H. Gilman, seconded by J. L. Lummus, the said ordinance was given its
first reading and read by title only. Moved by J. H. Gilman and eeoonded by J. B.
Lummus that the said ordinanoe be passed on its first reading as read. 0n roll call
the vote was as follows: J. I. vlilaon, yee; J. E. Lummus, yes; J. H. Gilman, yee.
Motion carried and the said ordinance passed on its first reading. 0n motion of J.
H. Gilman, seconded by J. E.Lummus, the said ordinance was given its second and final
reading and read in full. Moved by J. H. Gilman and eeoonded by J. E. Lummue that
the said ordinance be passed and adopted on its second and final reading. On roll oat
the vote was as follows: J. I. wilson,yes; J. E. Lummus, yes; J. H. Gilman, yee.
Motion oarried and the said ordinanoe passed and adopted on its seoond and final read-
ing. In acoordanoe with resolution Io. 155, passed and adopted February 28th, the
said ordinanoe is numbered 116 and is shown in 0rdinanoe Book 1 at page 101.

10, 11, 12 and 13 of Resolution No. 210, adopted May 2, 1922, en-
titled "A Resolution Authorizing $700,000 Municipal Improvement

Bonds" as heretofore amended by Resolution No. 218, adopted May. 9,
1922, be and is hereby further amended by striking from -.AO ot-e4id
sections the words "dated July 1, 1922" and inserting in lieu of t4e
words so stricken the words "Dated June 1, 1922", in Order to pro..

Gentlemen:
As per your Resolution #273, passed on the 16tb diiy
of May, in which you appointed 0. W. Murray and myself to re-
present Miami at the organization of the State League of Muni-
oipalities held at Tampa on May l8th, I hereby submit a brief
report of our trip to Tampa and the organizations of the State
League of Municipalities.
We left Miami Tuesday afternoon, about 1 o'clock, bar
auto and reached Tampa about 4 o'olook Wednesday afternoon* TNje
found the roads very fine all the way, with the exception of .A
short stretch between Melbourne and Kissimmee.
The first session of the delegates was held at 10 a.
m. Thursday morning, in the council chamber of the City Hall
La Tampa. About twenty-five oities were represented by some
eixty or seventy delegates. The morning session was taken up,
very largely, by discussions on organization and committees were
appointed to draw up the by-laws, and a epeoial list of officer
to be voted upon at the evening session.
After the morning session the delegates were given a
boat ride on the Hillsborough River, showing spa's 'waterftbn't;,
docks and harbors. The boat ride lasted about two hours attar
which the delegates were taken on a trip around the 010 bein g.

The evening session convened at 6 o'olook at elhiol
