SEC. 1. That Section 14 of Ordinance .No. 273, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE TO 2PEVENT TEE OOLN fiIOATION O'
VENEREAL DISEASES AND POE TIM CONTROL AND TR ;ATUENT
b' SONS IN 'EOThD WITR sun DISEASES"
be and it is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
Section 14. Any person or persons charged with any
of the duties imposed by this ordinance, failing after
twenty-four hours' written notice from the Director of
Public Welfare to comply with such ordinance in the particular
or particulars set forth in the notice, shall be deemed guilty
of a violation of this ordinance, and for eaoh day after the
expiration of said twenty-four hours, that the said person
fails to comply with this ordinance, he shall be deemed guilty
of a separate violation of this ordinanoe and any person vio-
lating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, on con-
viction, be snbNeat to a fine of not less than ten dollars
($10.00) not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) or to imprison-
ment for not less than five (5) days nor more than fifteen
(15) diye.
SEC. 2. The Commission declares this ordinance to be an emergency mea-
sure on the ground of urgent public need for the preservation of peace,
health, safety and property.
PASSED AID ADOPTED this 18th day of A .ril, A. D. 1922.
