MEETING OF AUG 2-f 9a/ the year 1921; and AREAS, the City Charter requires the Commission as an Equalization Board to meet 8t the City Hall in the City of Miami on the second Monday in July of eaoh year, at which time the Assessor is required to submit unto said Board the general Assessment Roll; and WHEREAS, the first meeting of the first Commission elected under said charter could not be held on the second Monday in July, 1921; and WHEREAS, the Lssessor has submitted to the Board of Equalization the general Assessment Roll of the City of IHirmi for the year 1921: J OW, THEREFORE, BE the City of Miami: Section 1. M. to S' o IT R2SOLVED by the Commission of of Equalization will meet 4 ugus t c ocl;_'.M. , and continue in session daily, but not longer than two .weeks from the day of first meeting, to consider any objections filed with it in respect to any assessment that shall have been made by said Assessor, and to revise, on its own motion said assessment roll and to increase or diminish valutions .therein; add the names of persons and descriptions of "DOCUMENT INDEX. Section 2. That said Assessor be, an. he it hero'. directed and required to file said assessment roll in his office for a period of five days prior to the first meeting of said Board of Equalization; during which said five days it shall remain open to public inspection. Section 3. That during the first three days of its meeting, said Board of Equalization will consider any written objections filed with it in respect to any assess- ment that shall have been made, and may, on its own motion, revise said assessment Roll and may increase or diminish valuations therein; add the names of persons and descriptions of property omitted from said roll, and fix the valuations of said property and correct all errors and supply all deficiencies found therein. Section 4. That said Board shall continue its session, after said first three days, as long as may be necessary, but not longer than two weeks from the day of first meeting, dur- ing which time, upon the request of any person,his agent or attorneys, considering himself aggrieved, on sufficient cause being shown, s .id Board may reduce the assessment to such an amount as to such Board shell appear jut and equal. Section 5.
