WHEREAS, There is a Southeast First Avenue in Miami North of the Miami River, and a Southeast First Avenue in Miami South of the Miami River, and so much of the said Southeast First Avenue South of the River was known and named for a periai twenty-five years as Brickell Avenue, after one of the founders of the City; and WHEREAS, There is no physical connection between Southeast First Avenue North of the Miami River and Southeast First Avenue south of the Miami River, and the inhabitants and property owners living on Southeast First Avenue South of the river desire that the name of the street South of Miami River be changed from Southeast First avenue to Brickell Avenue, its former name, and WHEREAS, the City Commission realizes heat the late J. A. McDoiald was a public spirited citizen who rendered great L.nd valuable service to the City of giami and believes that it is proper and fitting that one of the principal streets of the City should be nz-zed for him; and WHEREAS, 1.re. Julia Tuttle, one of the founder' of the City, by her foresight and sagacity, anointed largely in the work of developing the City, and it in proper and fitting that one of the principal streets of the City elrould be named for her; • NOW, THEREVORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OP THE CITY OFMIAMI: SECTION I. That so ntuch of the street now known as Southeast Piret Avenue lying south of the Masai Miter and extending thence South to what it known ae the Deering property, be, and is, hereby changed acid named .nd shall be known as triokeli Avenue. SECTION 2. That the streets known as Northeast tay Shore Drive andSoutheast Bay Shore give, be, -nd are, hereby changed r.nd named' and shall be known as McDonald Boulevard SECTION 3. That the street known as, Uiarai=A?en e is hereby changed and named and shall be known as Tuttle Avenue. SECTION 4.
