seetten 2: That from and after the ninth day of Atha, A. X. IOW

any land, wharf, dock or pier within the city of Mini, unless
the rope cable, hawser or other means employed for the tying of
auoh veaselshall be amply provided with approved rat guards, so
oonstruoted as to effectively prevent rats from leaving such
vessel and gaining acoess to the land by means of said means of
tying.
Section 3: That from and after the ninth day of June A.D. 1920
it shall be unlawful, after sunset, for any boat -easel, barge or
other means of water eonveyance or transportation to retain a
gang -plank, bridge or other means of access to or from sash vessel
and the land., wharf, dock or pier to which it is tyed or attaohed,
and all xgang-plsnks, bridged or other means of acoess slxsoktxxxxx
Exmitxxxsomax to or from such vessels must, after sunset, be taken
up, except when actually employed for the loading or unloading
of freight or the taking on or letting off of passengers or orew.
Seotion 4: Any master, member of the orew, or other person who
shall triolato Vho provisiono of thtJ? or6inttoo shall be punished
upon conviction thereof by a fine not exoeeding 4200, or by z
imprisonment not exoeeding 60 days in the City Jail.
Sootion 6. The City Couhoil of the City of Miami deolares this
Ordinance to be neoessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health, nnd safety, and that the health and welfare
of the City is in peril, and that this ordinance is passed for the
proteotion of the oitizens, and shall be passed at one session and
shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
Sextion 6: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in oonfliot
with the provisions of this ordinanoe siszt are hereby repealed.
