1. To repeal ORDINANCE NO. 26?, entitled,
"AN ORDINANCE to amend 9eotion four (4) of Ordinance dated
September 6, 1906, providing for the expense of the publioation of
this Ordinance and providing for its aooeptanoe and amending Section
four (4) of Ordinance dated September 6, 1906, reading:
AN ORDINANCE granting permission to, authorizing and empower-
ing the Miami Gae Company, its auooeesore and assigns, to lay pipes,
conductors and conduits through and under the public streets, alleys,
highways, squares, and public grounds of the City of Miami, County
of Dade, State of Florida, for the term of thirty years, and con-
struct and operate gas works in said City for the purposes of supply-
ing the inhabitants thereof with gas for heat light, fuel and power
purposes, providing for the safety of public travel and the unneces-
sary impeding of the same in the laying of the said pipes, oonduotore
and conduits, providing for the restoration of all streets and public
property; providing that the said company, its successors and assigns,
shall have, defend and keep harmless and indemnify the said City
from damages resulting therefrom; providing for the aooeptance of this
Ordinance by the said Company; regulating the maximum charge to be
paid for gas, and providing for the payment of cost of publioation
of this Ordinance"
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Miami, Florida, that
Ordinance Mo. 257, entitled;
"AN ORDINANCE to amend Section four (4) of Ordinance dated
September 6, 1906, providing for the expense of the publioation of
this Ordinance and providing for its acceptance and amending Section
lour (4) of Ordinance dated September 6, 1906, reading;
AN O DINANOE granting permission to, authorising and empower-
ing the Waal Gas Company, its suoossaore and assigns, to lay pipes,
aonduotors, and oonduito through and under the public, streets, alleys,
highways. squares, and publio ground, of the City of Miami, County of
wade, /State of Florida, for the term of thirty years, and oonstruot
and operate gaa works in said City for the purpose of supplying' the
inhabitants thereof with gas for heat, light, fuel and power purposes,
providing for the safety of the public travel and the unnecessary im-

of this Ordinance", be and the same is hereby repealed.
2. That this Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage
by the City Council of Miami, Florida, and approval thereof by the
Mayor.
I
