Dear Sir:-
Jacltsorori lle, • , Dee 2i ►1917,
It has been called to our attention that an ordinance
entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the use of station premises of any
railway company within the city of Miami for the purpose of soliciting
-,&jukge and jroviding a penalt# for the violation thereof."
which appears to have been recently passed by the City Council and
approved by you as Mayor, is now desired to be enforced on the station
premises of this Railway Company.
This ordinance will be acceptable to us, but we are advised
that there are certain portions of it that cannot be made effective
by the City without our assent. This assent we are pleased to
give subject, however, to any reconsideration by us in the future
should we find it necessary.
Thanking you in the matter, and assuring you of our desire to
co-operate with the City in all matters so far as we can, I am,
Yours very tr:ly,
Vice -President.
