Efert, F. H. Wharton, E. L. Brady, C. F. Filer, E. C. Romfb, L. T. Highleyman, C. Hefty. Members of the city council. Gentlemen: A special meeting of the oity'oounoil is 'called to be the city council chambers in Miami, Florida, on March 26, 1917,, 7 30 o for the purpose of canvassing the returns and certified results,of the election held in the city of Miami on March 20, 1917, under resulution passed by the city oounoil. Respectfully a omitted, I, W. J. Whitman, certify that the mayor to the following members of March 2let, 1917. Caspar Hefty, Chas. F. Filer, E. L. Brady, E. C. Romfh, F. H. Wharton, F. G. Erfert, L. T. Highleyman. held at 'clock p.m., special No. 1109,, P. A. Henderson, Mayor, City of Miami, Florida. I served a true cosy cf 'hie aeasoeeao call of the city council in, the oity of Miami, on W. J. Whitman, Chief of Polioe C. F. Filer 'Moved by B--ar-Brady seconded byFF. H.Whittweethat the call of the mayor be received :and spread upon the minutes of this meeting. Motion carried. Moved by F. H. Wharton, seconded by C. F. Filer, that council open the ballot box a.ni canvas the returns of the election held March 20, 1917. Motion carried. Whereupon, the duplicate list of said special election, under seal, and the ballot box containing the poll lists, ballots, both of clerk and inspectors, ballot stubs, memoranda, papers of all kinds used by the inspectors and clerk in conducting said special election, were transmitted, in said ballot box, sealed up by the inspectors, to the city clerk and president of the city oounoil and thereupon the council canvassed the returns of said election and found that the total number of irotea cast at said election were 168 votes; that the total number of votes cast for the issuance of 175,000. for the purpose of constructing sanitary sewers as provided by resolution no. 1109 were 116 votes voting yea and that the total number of votes against the issuance of $75,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing sanitary sewers as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 35 votes; That the total number of votes cast for the issuance of $75,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing a sanitary sewage disposal system as provided by resolution No. 1109 were°100 votes voting YES and that the total number of votes voted against the issuanoe of 177,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing a sanitayr sW',vage disposal system as provided by resolution Mo. 1109 were 40 votes That the total number of votes oast for the issuanceof $50,000. bonds for the p._rrnese of erecting, a hospital for the cure and detention of the sick as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 124 votes voting YES and that the total number of votes voted against the issuance of 150,000. bonds for the purpose of erecting a hoapital for the cure and detention of the sick as provided by resolution No 1109 were 27 votea That the total number of votes cast for the issuance of 150,000. bonds for the e urlose ef erecting a municipal building as provide4'by resolution No. 1109 were 104 votes voting YES and that the total number of votes voted against the issuance of 50,000. bonds for the purr.oee of erecting a munioipal building as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 43 votes. That the total number of votes oast for the issuance of $50,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing municipal docks and warehouses as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 121 votes voting yes and that the number of votes voted against the issuanoe of "50,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing municipal docks and warehouses as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 32 votes. That the total number of votes cast for the issuanoe of #30,000. bonds for the purpose of ccrstructin, a local railway in the oity of Miami as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 119 votes voting YES and that the total number of votes voted against the issuanoe of $30,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing a local l,ilway in the city of Miami as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 33 votes That the total nuaber of votes oast for the issuance of $25,000. bonds for the purpose of purchasing parks and park sites as provided by resolution No. 1109 Were 99 votes voting YES and that the total number of votes voted against the issuanoe of :25,000. bonds for the purpose of purchasing parks and park sites as provides by resolution No. 1109 ware 46. votes. That the total number of votes cast for the issuance of $20,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing a ship channel in Biscayne Bay as provided in resolution No. 1109 were 117 votes voting YES and that the total number of votes voted against the issuanoe of 120,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing a ship channel in Biscayne Bay as provided in resolution No. 1109 were 36 votes. Thet the total n:imbar of votes oast for the issuance of $15,000. bonds for the purpose of erectinT a bridge over the Miami River at Avenue G as provided by reeolution,No. 1109 Were 116 votes voting YES and that the total number of totes voted against the issuanoe of 115,000. bonds for the purpose of erecting a bridgea0Ve ' t1 � Miami River at Avenue G as provided by resolution No. 1109 ware 43 votes. That the total zmuimber of votes oast for the issuanoe of $5,000. bonds for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Miami River at Avenue D as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 113 votes voting yes and that the total number of votes voting against the issuance of 45,000. bonds for the purpose of erecting a bridge over the Miami River at Avenue D as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 35 votes. That the total number of votes cast for the issuance of 440,000. bonds for the purpose of constructing a fire station and high pressure water system for fire protection'as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 109 votes voting YES and that the total number of votes voted against the issusnoe of $40,000. ponds for the purpose for the purpose of oo'nstruoting a fire station and high pressure water system for fire protection as provided by resolution No. 1109 were 42 votes. And we further certify that 3 votes of the total number were so obliterated or defaoed that it could not be determined whether they were cast for or against the issuance of bonds and were not counted either way. Upon motion of F. H. Wharton, seconded by C. F.
