We request that enough electric lights be planed on the tennis court in the Park to allow the games to be r,layed at night until ten o'clock, thus furnishing a safe divers- ion for our young people. We request that ycu urge the speedy improvement and decoration of our railroad station grounds so that order will be visible before the rouriet season. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE B0flD ISSUE ULMER SECTION 30 OF CITY CHARTER. Whereas, the City Council of the City,of :Miami, Florida has, on the 19th day of August, 1915, duly levied taxes for the following designated funds of the oity of Miamt, at the following rates, respectively, suoh rates being sufficient to realize upon the assessed valuation of said city, amounting to 413,029,343. the sums respeotivelt named after suoh rates, to wit: - For the General Fund, 4 mills realising #58,530.50 Repairs & Internal Imp. Fund, mills realising 62,572.60 Hospital Fund, mill realizing 3,307.25 Lighting City Fund, mill realizing 13,039.00 and, Whereas, it is desired and deemed necessary for the best interests of the city of Miami, that tha slim of 676,000. be borrowed by said city to the oredit of its General;' Repairs and Internal Improvements, Hospital and Lighting City Funds, and that revenue bonds be issued as evidence of such loan, and Whereas, said sun, of $76,000. is less than seventy-five per oentum. of that sum which remains after subtracting from the amount of all uncollected taxes levied in the two preoeding fieoaa years, the amount of all bonds, notes, warrants or other city ob- ligations now outstanding which have no fixed maturity or which by their temrs mature" within one year from the date of their respective issuance: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Miami, Florida;. That said City under and by virtue of the authority conferred by section 30 of the Charter of said City, proceed to borrow the sum•of 476,000. which said sum when receiv- ed by said oity, shall be placed to the credit of the following funds of said oity in the respective amounts foliowing, to Wit: - General Fund, 440,000. Repairs & Internal Improvement Fund, 25,000. Hospital Fund, 3,000. Lighting City Fund, 8,000. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to tha provisions of Section 30 of the Charter of said City there be issued for said loan the revenue bonds of the City of Miami in the aggregate sum of 676,000 dated September 1, 1915, maturing September 1, 1915, with interest at 5i% per annum payable at maturity of said bonds, both principal and interest to be payable at the office of the city clerk of the City of Miami or at the United States M rtgage .&'Trust Company, New York City, at the holder's option.
