Godttran, under date October 15,1914 "I wish to very reepectfully request that the city of ;,iami assist rue in paying the interest that has aoeumulated on the following contracts, as the oity has had possession sinoe they were finished notwithstanding the fact that the aoceptanoe was held up by one pretext after another - Avenue H was commenced March 4th and finished six weeks thereafter; engineer said it was ok and would aooept; thirty days later said it was not accepted but would accept if half dozen loads rook was placed at oertain points - the rook was so plaoed and thirty days later wanted two loads fine rook placed at another point and it would be ok, and so on down to now. I have had, to pay interest on the „1,900 in street; ana then the 9th Street sewer from M to L and L to river was completed in early June and am paying interest still. 13th St from L to 2 has been fin..ehed over three months and I am still pa ing interest on money. In all I owe the Bank of Bay :3isoayne excess interest to the amount of about $125.00 and I wish and pray you gentlemen to pay all, or one half would be better than nothing.
