I don't know what should be uone to remedy the defect, but it is importane to the city that some action be taken to suppress this nuisance. BE IT RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of Miami, Florida, 'chat the Committeeman on Finanoe of the City of Miami be, and he is hereby authorised and empowered for and on behalf of the City of Miami to advertise for sale, in such publications and for such length of time as in his judgment may be for the best interests of the oity, the municipal bonds of said city provided for by Ordinance No. 105, ratified at a special election Lay 12, 1914, for the municipal purposes set out in Ordinance No. 115 of the City of Miami, to -wit: 1. Bonds numbered from one to sixty issued for the purpose of opening, widening and raving streets and sidewalks within the oity, $60,000.00. 2. Bonds numbered from 61 to 85 issued for the purpose of oon- etruoting a furnace or other device for the destruction of sewerage, garbage and refuse and to purchase necessary equipment for its operation, $35,000.00. 3. Bonds numbered from 86 to 115 issued for the purpose of pus ohasing the necessary equipment for the use of the fire department of the oity and for the purpose of establishing additional fire stations and the acquisition of the necessary sites therefor, $30, 000.00 4. Bonds numbered from 126 to 215 issued for the purpose of oonstruoting sewers as a part of the city's system of sewerage,$90,000.00 5. Bonds numbered from 231 to 276 issued for the purpose d oonetruoting public wharves and docks for the city and the acquisition 1t the neoessary sites therefor, within the oity limits, $45,000.00. Moved by Councilman Hefty and seconded by Counoilman Filer that Resolution 338 be /Adopted. Motion carried. On roll call the vote was as follows--- Hefty, yes; ' McDonald, yes; Routh, yes; Filer,'yes; Erfert, yes; Conrad, yes. Finance Committeeman Aomfh recommended that the lots owned by the city in Look 5? North be sold, as the rook thereon had been szbausted, and as the property was of no further value or use to the city, the money to be derived from the sale of such property could be used for other purposes to much better advantage than holding the lots. Moved by Councilman MoDonald and seconded by Councilman Filer that these lots be advertised for'sale and bids received July leth, 1914. Motion oarrisd.
