The Dade County Fair Association in a communication signed by E.V.Filackmen Sexretary, asked council to appropriate t500 to asist the Fair A seociation,which. they propose to hold the last week in Frebruary, . 'loved by E.C.Romfh and seconded by C.Hefty, that the appropriation of t500 naked for by the Dave County Fair Association be grnnted.Motion carried. The communication from the Mayor was react to council calling attention to the condition of the principal business streeta,which condition was brought about by the contrectors,saying that it was not his de: ire to say or do anything that would stop them for one moment in their work,but they should have seem regard for the rights and convenience of the people,and shoud work in a manner that would give as little inv Invenienre as possible,and not leave trenches open for weeks and rock and blocke,blockine the streets,aa it is not necessary,and I advise that the Con- sulting Engineer be ins rutted to take this matter up with the contractors and see if something cannot be done to better th 'ee conditions.In my epinion no materiel should be allowed on the streets over ten days.
