We have ilso inspected the work done by Contractor R.h.Fickle in the grading and paving 15th street from Avenue 1) west and the e ..L;ht inch sewer along game street subcontracted from A.Friedlund,allof which we found to be done in a thorough and work man like manner and in clue conformity with the profile and -',pecificatione,we therefor recommend the acceptance of same. Motion carried. The cleckk reported to council that he had wired from the unsuccessful bidder in the new paving contract,aeking the return of their checks. Moved by R.O.Watson and seconded by C.Hefty that the certified check of R.S. Hudson and the Cement Stone and Tile Co. and the Hithulithic Paving Co. be returned to them. Motion carried. Council discussed the proposition of taking up some petitions which had been presented to council,requesting certain streets to be paved and sewered. After going over all of them,it was decided to pave or sewer the following streets: After which th following resolution was introduced by Councilman Conrad: Resolved that the engineer prepare proles and epeclficatfona,and the e1 rk. d advertise for bide for paving the following streets. 16th Street from Ave.J to the R1• river, llth street from A ve.G west to North river drive, oved by E.F.Holmes and seconded by 0.Hef y that the above resolution be adopted. Councilman !lefty reconnended the removing of the city stables from the present location, saying; that it was impossible to keep same in a sanitary condition and he thought the city should look after their own part of it,before forcing othere to obey the sanitary laws.
