HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 1913-08-27 MinutesThe natter of the riparian rights came under discussion of the Board and the members Belt that there was undoubtedly a large duturs in store for riparian right pro- perties and that prises quoted on such along the Bissayne Shore, was based on the posab ible obtaining of deep water in the near future. The actual - value today of riparian rights was believed by the Board to be muc', less than the value based upon future possibilities. A similar question as to value arose on property along Avenue C as compared with Avenue D. But it was shown that while a sale or two nn Avenue C had been made at figures nearly equa]prises for property on Avenue D,yet,it is a fast tilt that Avenue D is an established siness street. And the rentals on Avenue C,north of6 tenth street to 6th street, one paying a price largely in advance of the price at which property along this avenue sold a fewyears ago, is basing on the future possibility,ad theref fore the assessment of property along C at about 50 O to 65* of like property on D was in the opinion of the Board just and fair. It was the opinion of the Board that to recluse all riparian right assessments along the Biscayne Bay shore 50* would is be to make same in keeping with assessments in general. sir.
