Counbil met :n recess meeting and called to order by the chairmen F.G.Erfert.
Membere present F.G.E rfert,R.O.Watson,C.eefty,E.e.Romfh,E..Holmee And J. A.
Conrad. .
A communication was read from J.D.Godman in which he stated that his biri for paving Ft} street from I to H was #2e.00 mere n he bid of P.B.Ficklepand
that he be allowed to construct said street.
Moved by E.C.Romfh and seconded by R.O.Watson that communication be
received,and action be delayed until Thursday, June 19th. so that the eatter could be
investigated. Motion carried.
There were several petitions in for paving streets but council decided to
hold them all up till the bond money was available.
Councilman Romfh stated that according to thenew charter,that the City had
the power to issue $25,000 Emergency Honds,payable in five auntiel installmentsond
that he would introduce the following resolution:
Resolution authorizing the issue of $25,000 of Revenue Bonds of the City
of 'libel ender section 40 of Chapter laws of Florida, Acts of 1913.
Be it resolved by the city council of the City of Miami;
Section 1. That the City of Miami is hereby authorized to borrow $25,000
pursuant to the provisions of section 40 of Chapter, Laws of Florida,Acts of 1913,
axle to issue as evidence of indebtedness e'er the money bowrowed, revenue bonds,which
bonds ehall be signed by the Mayor of the City and attested by tee City Clerk end the
seal of amid city.
Seetiun 2. That said bonds shall be issued against the general fund of
said city and the amount realized frue the loon on said bond shell he carried and
credited to the general fund aforesaid ;
Section 3; That said bonds shall be in dominations of 1,000 each, in
a series numbered from 1 to 25 both inelusive, eearing date July lst,1913, with inter-
est at the rate of 0 per annul payable semi ennually,principal and interest payable
at some bank or Trust Co. in New York. That $5,000.00 par value of Which said bonds
shell mature in one year after date and s like amount in ence secceeding year up to
and includine the fifth year;
Section 4. That said bonds when issued and executed shell he s parity of le
lien with other revenue bonds i weed oy the Cite of pursuant to the provisions
of section 39 ,Chapter --- Laws of Florida,Aets of 1913 , and the whole of said bonds
shell be a lien upon the uncollected taxes shown by the City Assessment roll to the e%
tent of the amount borrowed,and as the taxes are collected the bones snall be pnid
in the order ,n which they were issued out of the general fund aforeend.
Section 5. That upon the passage and approval of this resolution the City
Clerk and Collector is hereby authorized to give notice by publcation in Alami Metrop-
olis a newspaper published at eiami,Flori,a,once s week for -.114-consecutive weeks;the

day of July4YA.D.1913, for the purchase of all , or any portion of veld bonds, des-
cribing the'll.ame,the City Council reserving the right to reject all or any of said bid

over a year.
