Fiance committeeman Romfh stated to council that 2. note told $160.00 interest was now due,and he would like to ask the Webb " holder of note, to extend it for six months. 1500.00 Co. the Oozed by E.F.11olmes and seconded by C.Hefty that the matter be referred to Committeeman on Finance with power to act. Motion carried. T.F.Mann addressed council on the extension of the city limits,and thought that the limits ought to extend north and south,ae proposed,but on the west ;side it was not necessary to go out as far as ,this was a farming country and the line could bebrought in half a milefarther ,errs it would make a better and straighter line. Mr. Charles Brickell wanted to know from Mr. Houser on what grounds they claim that the south aide was progressing,in the proposed territory to 4e annexed. As there had not been a house built there in two years. Mr. Houser replied to Mr. Brickell that the reason was that the people held the price so high, t at no one could buy the land. After reading over the charter, by the clerk, and discussing it each section as it was read,the following motion was made: Moved by R.C.Romfh and seconded by J.A.Conrad that the proposed charter be referred to the attorney to correct and notify the Mayor when it was done. And the charter be then presented by the Mayor to council for its approval and further consideration. Motion carried. The chair ordered an adjournment until Thdirsday,May ;Sth,1913.
