Membees present: F.G.Erfert, d. ...Mcnonald,, .A.Corrad,C.Hefty, R.P.Holmes,R.O.Watson and E. C.Romfh. Honorable Board of Aldermen: April 17,1913. We, the citizens of colored town in the vicinity of Avenue G and betwen Second and Third streets, respectfully petition your Honorable body to put in a Bawer or catch basin as soon Re posible,on Avenue G between second and third streets. As the contract for this sewer had been previously let,the following motion was made: Moed by E.F.Holmes and seconded by C.Hefty that the communication be re- ceived and filed. Motion carriers. Moved by C.Hefty and seconded by E.C.Romfh that Mr. Fickle the contract- or, be instructed o install this sewer et once.Motion carried. Councilman Conrad suggested to council that it would he better to sewer Eighth Street from Avenue I to r•. before the paving w is ione,which would prevent the utreets being torn up. Moved by J.A.` eDarald and seconders by E.C.Romfn that the clerk advertise for bids for installing en eight inch tera cotta sewer on Eights Street 'row, Ave. I to Avenue (: . notion carried. A letter ..was read from the Miami Reach Improvement Co. and plat of the City Park acrore the Pay with estimates of the engineer for the Miami Read Impro' e n:ent Company and Ocean Beach Realty Co. showing that tee cost of making ,he Bounty road through the city proerty,woulcl be 432.25,end as this road ran through the pro- perty,and was being; built from the canal to the south end of the Ocean Reach Realty Co. p roperty, it would enhance the cities property,and all the other abutting property hold tiers hers agreed to put up their pro rata cost of the work, we will thank you to: have a warrant drawn and deliver to ns for p432.25 for this purpose, as soon as yoe can possibly arrange to du so. After discussing it for some t.ime,tre following motion wss introduced by Councilman Ro^ifh. Resolved that the MiRPli Beach Improvement Com, any be and it is hereby authorized to expend on behalf of the City of 54iarni,the sum not exceeding $435.00 the same being the city' pro rata share of the expense incident to the eonetructies of a graded rood running through the city park recently deeded by John `.;mllina to tse city,for a park, the city to reimburse the same Miami Peach Improvement Coripnny within two years without interest. To the Honorable City Council of the City of 'Fismi,flade Courty,Florida; We,the undersigned property owners on 12th street,in Riverside, hereby petition your Honorable body to pave 12th Street, from curb to eurh west of the 12th Street bridge, to the precent city limits.
