July 12,1912 We, the undersigned, property owners and re idents of 19th street, west o" Avenue D. respectfully petition for the placing of at least two additional street 11g lights between Avenue D and the railroad on 19th street. This street is ungraded and filled with loose rocks, and in a dangerous cundition to use after dark. Respectfully, (Signed) The Griffins; Bros. Cc and 6 others. Before final passage of the ordinance creating n bond issue in the sum of One hundred forty thousand dollars 0140,000.00) I wish to mee the following recommendations to your 'ionorahle boriry 'or your consideration: the issuance his wishes First. If the voter desires to vote for or against the approval of of bonds for the above sum as a whole he may do so. Second. A very exhaustive report was read from Food Inspector Fo: sey,addrese ed to Councilman MeDonald,in referen :e to the slaughter house,the sanitary condition and the manner in which the seat is supplied to the people of Miami,steting that there is about 3100 cattle killed there c, year,and advised that the sanitary con- ditions c,uld be greatly improved upon.
