Me bers present: C.Hefty, J.A.Corad, E.F.Holmes, R.O.Wntson,J.F:.Lumrme and M.J.McDoxuld. The matter was tzken up of electing a temporary chairman to seeve in lieu of the mnyor's resignation until the new mayor ie elected. Ohairman Erfert serving ae acting mayor in themeantirte. E.F.Nolmes was nominated by J.F.Lur►mue,C.Hefty was nom nated by R.} .itolmes,the votes being counted it wee found that C.Hefty rec eived 4 votes and Holmes 2 votes. C.Hefty was declared elected temporary chairr.rzn. A letter was read from the H. & W.t].Drew Co. in refe enre to a bill of $32.05,coverinl; ieens of February ketanci !larch 27th. pure- ase4 by the city. insisting that the bills should be paid. Move by J.F.Lutmnue and seconded by F.P.Holmce that bill be referred to the committeeman on f nance. 'lotion carried. A list was read from the city boiler inspector recently appo inted, n ming the different artiklee he would require in his office. Moved by J.F.Lui!mr.is and seconded by R.O.Ratson that the communication of the boiler inspector be received and filed, and be referred to the fire commission u'J with power to act. Motion carried.
