The Chair announced that anyone present Who wished to address council , they would now hear from them. Mr. C.H.Gautier addressed council asking for relief oft the notice served en him to sonnet with the sewer ,as he expected to move soon and did not want to go to the expense now. Mr. Smith and Dr. Cole addressed council in reference to the Sanitary In- spector and made far fetched arguments seoringthe Sanitary inepeotor and making some untrue charges against his department. Mr. Abel addressed .esuneil in reference to the cemetery, stating that Mr Brew Bravo had been buried on part of two lots by mistake, and that party adjoining Mr. Braves lot demanded that ?Mrs. Bravo remove body of het husband, ,or pay him for that part of lot. The Chairman suggested that the matter be referred to the Superintendet of the cemetery to investie;ate with the cemetery committeemen and arrange the matter satisfactory to both parties. Acomaunication add essed to Mr. Erfert, Chairman, from Mr. Greaves, Manager of the !loyal Palm, explaining the use og automobile truck that is run between the hotel and the gold grounds. Explaining that as this trunk was not run for profit but simply as a convenience for the guests of the hotel and *there w o wished to play golf, that he did not think that it was encumbent upon him to poy a license. it was really run at a lose. Moved by J.A.Conrad and seconded by C.Her:fty that automobile be a lowed to run without any license provided it is run from the Royal Palm to and from the golf grounds without stopping in transit to pick up passengers. Motion carried. The Chair announced that it was now in order °er the committee to report on the meeting of the county commissioners in reference to the contract between the eit7 add the county commissioners pertaining to the running of the eity hospital that had expired. Counoilman Luaaus reported that as yet the auditor had not been ,,ble to arrive et the amount due city by oounty commissioners, but the Commissioners had agreed to extend the contract for five months but no longer, but in the future the commissioners would pay the city for any county patient sent there by the county eomaissisners or eoun,.y physician. and they would not enter into any agreement in reference to the colored hospital as they had a poor farm and could take care of their oolor ed indigents out there,and would also take care of any colored patient asi tkat the eity might send cut to them at the same price,.$2.00 per day"se the city eharges for their county patients.. The following motion was made: Moved by J.A.Conrad and seconded by J. Lummue,that the City Attorney be requested to meet county attorney and draw up an agreement between the city and the county commissioners whereby the city will take eareof the white county patients at $2.00 per day, and the county will take care of the city colored patients eetnt out t the Poor Farm at the same price per day. The question of annexation was brought up by the Chairman stating that it was now in order for the committee to report. After discussing the lines proposed by the citizenae committee thorougHly, the following motion was made: Mved by J.E.Lumnus and seconded by C.Hefty that the lines in refe once to the proposed annexation as designated by the citizenls committee be disregaed. Motion carried. Mvoved by J.E.Lumatus and seconded by J.A.Conrad that the oridinance be given its first reading and read i n full. Motion carried. The ordinance Wit3 read in full. Moved by J. E.Luumsus and seconded by J.A.Conrad that the ordinance be given its second reading and read by title only. Motion carried. The ordinance was given its second reading and read by title only. The city attorney addressed the oouncil in reference to the storage of oil and gasoline in the city limits,giving his opinion that such combustible material. should not be allowed in the city, and that the present storage plant should be re- moved es the hazard is very great. Mr. McDonald offered as a suggestion that t e city employ a special police- man to act as a watc hman over the property where this oil and gasoline is stored. Mr. Hefty thought the 011 Co. should employ their own watchman. The following motion was made. Moved by J.E.Luenlus and seconded by J.A. Conrad that the City attorney be instructed to prepare an amendment to the present ordinance governing the sale of oil and gasoline and other explosives to exclude all territory not now occupied by 011 Co.
