Members present J.i.Wilson,J.E.Lummus,m.N.Gautier,L.(lranger,C.J.Roee,W.B.Moore end J.J.Holly. A Petition: We,the undersigned,esk the Hon.City Council to pass en ordinance for every hack- man or wagon driver,for hire to pay a license of Two Dollars par year,the said driver of hacks or public drays must be a citizen o'' the United States of America; and must give a bond of Fifty Dollars. The Bondsmen must be responsible for all damage done by the haek or wagon driver,for which he is bondsman. Also ell drivers of Automobiles for hire must pay a lie nse of Five Dollars per ,year; and must give a bond of Two Hundred and Fift, dollars,Bondemen roust be responsi- ble for all damage done by said driver of said car: Also the Chief of Police must be instructed to examine all hacks and automobiles for hire,in regard to sanitary condi- tions and safety. All hocks end automobiles must be provided with a complete set of curtains and :•turm aprons. Automobiles end all kind of vehicles must keep to t'e right and not turn,only at corners.
