Regular meeting of City Council called to order by President J.I.Wileon in the
choir.
Members present J.I.Wilson,J.E.Lummu8,T.N.Gautier,L.(*ranger,J.J.Holly and C.J.Roee.

Council was addressed by J.H.Tatum,Raq., relative to.certain property owners Weet
of the City Limits attempting to make connection with the City Sewer System,at the
intersection of Avenue """ And Twelth Street.
Moved by J.E.T,unmue end seconded by L.Grenger thnt the matter as refered to by
J.H.Tatum,Esq., be refered to the Committeeman on Streets and Sewers,for report to
Council;and that the Chiefl of Police be instructed to notify Mr.R.B.McLendon not to do
any further work toward making a connection with the City Sewer System at the point as
indicated by 'lr.Tatum: Motion carried.

ted that portriarts of Mr.H.M.h'legler and _Mre.Julia Tuttle be procured and hung on the
walls of the Council Chamber.

the Fire Department that a fire hydrant be placed at the Corner of Ninth Street and Itis-

Cemetery Association,to keep the cemetery in good order,under your b''uperentendant.
I am to dig all grav-e for the fixed price of '5.00 per adult and 4te4.00 for child;
and heve the privolege to ..ollect in advance if advisable.
I am to have the permit to use n ':ertain parc.1 of land pointed out by the Counoel-
man of tne City,for the purpose of raising trees,shrubs,plents,flowers,etc,for pro"it,
with the privolege of elling same on the Cemetery Grounds.
The land and water I use to be free of charge. I am to use the land for an unlim-
ited time,which is or will be determinod by the Counoelmen of the City;should my ser-
vices be satiefectoey,a term of five ye'•re will be grented.I to receive 30 days notice
to rt•s1gn my position;and six months notice to vacate the land,with the right to remove;
my stock in trade and all out -buildings.

Gentlemen; -
Representing the Dade County Hospital Association,I respectfully ark that
the Hospital Aseoeiation,be relieved from all taxation for sewer and street assess-
mentd;and for all other taxes.
TheeAaasciation is entirely voluntary; and is supported by contributiona from the
citizens and others who desire to see that the sick and suffering nave adequate relief
Not a member of the Poard of Trustee: or any ofricer receive a cent of aa1 ry and
gives his tiie to this charity without expectation of reward of any kind.
During the past thirteen months we nave taken care of over 120 pereons,ninety
percent of whom would have been charges upon the City or Countty,if it had not been for
the generous support of private citizens.
For those reasons I believe that y ue Honorable Hody would be juetlfied in remitt-
ing rill taxes and assessments against this prope •ty.

New City Hall on 12th.Street.
I submit the following bid for moving same: I will furnish teams and elf labor
and materiel and move same for $15.00 and assume all risk of damage to aafe,or I will
if the City will furnish the laborers from the City prisoners,furnieh material,lumber,
cables !'tc., and move same for t10.00 and assume ell risk of damage.

Dear Sir; -
I desire to cell your attention to the fact that I have been required by the
City Engineer to place in each man -hole four six inch pipes two feet long,for connect-
ing of catch -basins; these pipe cost me per man -hole $1.20;end when I finish the pres-
ent cone,ract to Eleventh Street,•-111 have put in man -holes in the City,in which I have
had to furnish these extra pipe; and desire the City to refund me the price of the pipe
in all ' 32.40. •

When I was in Miami a new days ago, I had an interview with }dr.J.E.Lunnus,
Chairman of your Finance Comn,ittee,coneern1rF our roan r r'teriel,)nown as Glutrin.
I suggested to Mr.Lummus Ox that by greatly diluting this material with water,
and useing it in your sprinkling carts, you could not only considerably reduce the
number of sprinklings,but could also add a grt'adeel toward the preservntion of your vs
roads, this would mean a savini; in sprinkling cost as well as in repairs.
'(r.Lunm,us seemed to be interested in the propot;ition,at any rate he sug erted
that I write such a letter rls this to ,you,in order that you might place it formally
before the Council.

That,WHEREAS,F.W.Hahn as Contractor for the erecting and completion of tne City
Building of the City of Miami has completed the same to the entire satisfaction of the
City Council; and in its erection has shown a deep interest, to the end that said
building as finished is an ornament to tne City: That therefore this Council extend to
Mr.F.W.Hann a vote of thanks for his efficient,faithful and :successful work.
