Dear Sir; - We beg to call your attention to tne narrow crossing on 20th, Street: Th`s crossing should be mnde wider for the safety of teams and persona; and we would appre- •ciete your having this matter looked after. The Section Master, Mr.Godson has just called the City's attention to the condition of the Street Railway, at the 12V, Street Crossin,, where the Street Railway, crossed the main line! of the F.E.C.R'y.track. The crossing is in bad condition end should be fixed ht once. The City has re- cently sequired title to tne Street Railway and hope to realize something for it; and we donot want tree crossing taken out without an understk.nding with the F.F.C.R'y.Co., tnat should we decide within twelve months from now, if we de ire to do to we would re- place A crossing tnere thnt wuld be approved of by the F.E.O.R'y.Co. We donut want to use t e tracks now and may not at Frey time but before it is taken out we would like to have t e assurance from the Pailway Company tat we can re- place it if we desire to do so in the time stated. If this meets with your approval pl'ase advise ua; and instruct your representa- tive to take it nut; and if not let UB know; end we will repair toe prevent crossing et once. I beg to advise that I see no oco,ction to this end tender you the assurance that you may replace tnese frogs, or others within a period of twelve months from tnis date; but teat t e frog e so pincod MUFt be of a pat ern and strength approv-d by tr e Meintainnnce of Way Department. I make this proviso because the present grogs were too light for our heavy encines snd shoul tne sane ones be used it would oc necessary to strengthen t:.em or procure other cressing frogs.
